tempest theatre group: directions & details
By TTC: Take the Bloor-Danforth Subway line to Broadview Station. Exit onto Broadview Avenue, turn left to Danforth Avenue, turn left onto Danforth Avenue and walk east approximately 100 metres.
From the 401/DVP: Take 401 to the Don Valley Parkway (or 407 to 404) proceed south to Bloor/Bayview Exit. Exit onto Bloor Street and turn left. Proceed east across Viaduct, first lights are Broadview, theatre is just past them on right, south side of street.
From the Gardiner Expresway: Take Gardiner past downtown to where it splits between Lakeshore Boulevard and the Don Valley Parkway. Head north on Don Valley Parkway to Bloor/Bayview Exit and proceed as above.
SOME TIPS: As we have moved our times to better accommodate out of town schools you should not have too much traffic trouble – but this is Toronto. Also if you are coming to the 10am Thursday show – you may hit traffic.
From the north an alternate can be Don Mills Rd. You can bail on the DVP at York Mills, Lawrence, Eglinton or Don Mills South exit itself. Head west on any of these streets and the first major intersection is Don Mills. Turn left and head south. It empties out at O’Connor Avenue. Turn right and keep going, it bends left and turns in to Broadview. When you hit Danforth (where all the streetcars are) turn left and you're there.
From the South you could get on Lakeshore instead of the Gardiner and take it to the DVP past downtown. However there is construction on Lakeshore at Spadina. The Gardiner usually clears around the York/Yonge exit.
FOOD: There is a Macdonalds and a Pizza Pizza at the corner of Broadview and Danforth. There are a few more fast food places to the east – away from Braodview but we don’t want you to lose anybody. There is a small café in the theatre –but be reminded there is no food or drink allowed in to the theatre
The 1st half is approx. 1hr and 10 min. There is a 10 min. intermission. The 2nd half is approximately 50 minutes. There is a Q&A afterwards
